SOME OTHER SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Are you going on vacation for some well earned R and R? Are you a "snowbird"? Do you own a vacant property in town that is empty awaiting sale or some other reason?
Lisbon PD will conduct property checks at random times to make sure your property is safe and secure. Simply come down to Lisbon PD and see the dispatcher. You will be provided with a form to complete that lists emergency contacts, conditions of the property, who can be there, etc. If we determine that there are some problems with the property, we will contact the person listed and inform them of the situation.
These forms are available at the Lisbon Police Department and have to be completed in person. There is no cost for this service.

The Lisbon Police Department is pleased to announce the Lisbon VIPS Citizen Outreach Program. This is a new program offered by Lisbon PD developed in collaboration with Seniors Plus and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
The program is very simple. A police department (VIPS) volunteer will place a friendly phone call to you at home at a pre-arranged time of day. During this short weekly telephone conversation, our volunteers will ask how things are going and extend a simple and warm hello to you, our neighbor.
If we are unable to reach you we will try again a short time later. If we are still unable to reach you, we will call one of your contacts listed on your application - for example, a neighbor or family member living nearby. If necessary, we will send a volunteer to your home to make sure all is well.
The completely free program is our way of showing you that the Lisbon Police Department cares about your well being. Everyone needs a friendly "hello" once in awhile, and as important as it is to live independently, it's nice to know that someone is thinking of you and cares enough to check to see how things are going.

As a service to our citizens, the Lisbon Police Department provides fingerprinting free of charge. Many jobs that require a security clearance; adoptions, teachers, and other public and private sector jobs require that a fingerprint card be submitted as part of a background check.
Typically the card(s) will be provided by the employer. Our trained officers will take legible prints and complete our portion of the card. No appointment is necessary as we are staffed 24/7 and any officer can provide this service.
